Beaches in Dubai
Dubai offers some of the best beaches in region where you can enjoy the wonderful weather, almost all year round. Dubai’s beaches are many, but a lot of them belong to hotels. The best public beaches include: Jumeirah Public Beach, Jumeirah Beach Park, Kite Beach, Burj Beach and JBR Beach. Ladies must wear a full bikini or a swimsuit when on the public beaches and swimming in underwear is not allowed. Topless sunbathing is not allowed anywhere in Dubai and the wearing of thongs is not recommended. Beachwear should only be worn while on the beach and not while walking to or from the actual beach, as a recommendation. Also a warning for all swimmers: the seas in Dubai usually looks very calm but even strong swimmers have been swept out to sea by strong rip tides and currents – so please take care when swimming and pay attention to the lifeguards, beach security and warning flags.
Dolphin Bay
Dolphin Bay is the largest coastal dolphin habitat in the world. The 11-acre (4.5 hectare) marine environment includes seven interconnected pools and three interaction lagoons -- a sophisticated habitat that houses a family of Indo-Pacific Bottlenose dolphins. Dolphin Bay is less about watching shows and feedings and more about interactive experiences. The Marine Mammal Specialists at Dolphin Bay offer five different interactive options, each catered to different ages and swimming abilities. Each experience includes entrance into the resort’s Aquaventure Waterpark as well. At the most basic level, guests can have their photo taken petting or kissing a dolphin without entering the water. The Atlantis Dolphin Encounter, a shallow water interaction, takes guests into a waist-deep interaction lagoon to get up close to one of the dolphins while learning more about their playful behaviors.
